![]() ![]() The new Fluid-Flip solver seems to give really interesting results in terms of simulation quality.X-Particles was ready for R23 on what, Day 1? Day2? Really good. Last point: For the performance, the price is simply too high. You have to invest massive amounts of simulation time to get interesting results, and iteration becomes really hard. Most importantly, I must say that the simulation results aren’t really -that- impressive. This problem is still not solved, for example. Quite a dealbreaker! The Redshift-team was really responsive about this and couldn’t find an error on their side, Nextlimit’s communication is… well… not that active. For example, Realflow’s “Dumb particles” (for foam and other FX), don’t render with Motionblur in Redshift. It doesn’t play too nice with other software.Anything bigger is beyond the capabilities of the solver. Realflow for C4D is really only for small-scale simulations.Realflow for S22 came several months after S22 was introduced. I purchased Realflow, and I must say, that I’m not that impressed with the plugin. X-Particles’ giant toolbox and possibilities seemed a little overwhelming in comparison. I was wondering the same thing some time ago.Īfter evaluation, I thought Realflow would be easier to use with better results. ![]()
